Microneedling / CIT Training Courses

What is Microneedling / CIT ?

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) also known as micro-needling, is a procedure that improves the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars and stretch marks by stimulating your skin’s natural wound healing ability to repair itself. It refers to the effect that micro injury to the surface of the skin results in new collagen formation. It is most commonly spoken about in the minimally invasive arena of micro-needling treatments. Anytime there is injury to the skin, repair occurs through the formation of new collagen.

It is a cosmetic procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles (micro-needling the skin). It is a technique for which research is ongoing but has been used for a number of skin problems including scarring and acne.

Objectives

1.) To understand the theory behind collagen induction therapy, how it works in the epidermis and dermis, what kind of collagen is stimulated, the inflammation caused and healing process of the skin.

2.) To be able to effectively utilise micro-needling treatments for skin tightening, Wrinkle reduction as well as stimulate a healthy, plumped and rehydrated, moisturised skin.

Micro-needling Treatments utilise the skin’s natural healing process, due to the inflammation caused by the puncturing of the skin‘s barrier in a unique way to achieve excellent skin improvements through skin tightening and wrinkle reduction. This treatment is best performed on skin showing fine lines and wrinkles, to improve skin elasticity and smoothness through collagen stimulation – a powerful anti-aging treatment.

In the advanced microneedling training course, we focus on in-depth scar, stretch marks and restoring/repairing 2nd and 3rd degree burns to a healthier skin structure and texture. Through combination therapies and treatments, we are able to improve the skin’s elasticity and texture, visibly reducing scars, stretch marks and burned skin.

In the microneedling training course for Hair Loss and Alopecia, we focus on understanding hair growth cycles and the different hair growth stages, understanding the causes of hair loss and how this can be treated. Through combination therapies and treatments, we are can improve hair follicle health and its activity and increase hair growth and thicker, healthier hair.
